Yes. StudyLens auto-detects the language of the page and writes your entire study guide in that language. We support English, Afrikaans, isiZulu, isiXhosa, Sesotho, Setswana, Sepedi, Xitsonga, siSwati, Tshivenda and isiNdebele. You can also switch the display language on any study set with one tap (the Globe icon).

No — StudyLens needs internet to process your scans (AI runs in the cloud). Once your study sets are created, you can view them offline as long as the page stays cached. Generating new content always needs Wi-Fi or data.

Via Paystack — a SA-native payment processor. You can pay with any local debit or credit card, instant EFT, or Apple Pay. No currency conversion fees, no international gateways.

Per upload, you can submit up to 100 pages at a time on Pro infrastructure — bigger batches take longer (about 20–30 seconds per page), but you can close the tab and the study set will be waiting when it's done.

Very — but always cross-check important facts with your textbook. The AI reads exactly what's on your page and structures it as a study guide. It won't invent facts not on the page, but OCR can occasionally misread blurry photos.

Yes. Photos are sent to our AI provider (Google or Anthropic) for processing only. We don't share them with anyone else, we don't sell them, and we never use your content to train AI models. See our privacy policy for full details.

No — StudyLens makes studying faster and more effective, but it doesn't replace the work. You still need to use the flashcards, take the quizzes, and review the material. Think of it as your AI study assistant, not a magic pass button.

No, and please don't try. Submitting AI-generated work as your own breaks your school's academic-integrity rules and breaks our terms. Use it the way it's meant to be used: scan, review the guide, practice the quiz, then write your own answers.

StudyLens is built for Grade 4 to matric. Children under 18 need a parent's permission to sign up — we ask for confirmation at signup. Under 13, please supervise account creation.

A parent dashboard is on our roadmap. For now, your child can show you their Dashboard — it lists every set they've scanned plus their quiz scores.

StudyLens works directly from your child's textbook pages, so it follows whatever the school teaches. SA textbooks follow CAPS, so the AI output naturally matches it.

Yes, from the Settings page. We permanently delete your data within 30 days (except where law requires us to keep records, like payment receipts).

On secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase / EU-Ireland). Photos are processed in transit by AI providers, never stored long-term. See our privacy policy.

Early supporters can submit features directly from the dashboard — they go straight to the founder. Anyone can watch what we're building on the public /roadmap page.

Email us at hi@studylens.co.za with the study set ID and what was wrong. We use these reports to tune the prompts. Always treat the output as a study aid — verify important facts against your textbook.
